Our minor surgery course is a highly-interactive course that is ideally structured to meet the training needs of those wanting to perform minor surgery successfully. Participants will learn surgical techniques (lesion excision, punch biopsy, curettage), administration of local anaesthetic blocks and joint/soft tissue injections.
Practical skills training using skin and simulators.
The aim of his course is to teach safe surgical techniques required to perform successful minor surgery.
Anaesthetics and soft tissue cover
Applied anatomy and healing
Local and regional blocks
Incision for common access and exposure
Common skin lesions
Cautery, Curretage, Diathermy
Removal of skin and subcutaneous lesions
Post-operative wound care
Management of complications
Medico-legal pitfalls and responsibilities

Certification Upon successful completion of all requirements, as decided by the faculty, students receive the Certificate of Attendance.
