The reconstructive surgery of the lower extremity is a highly-interactive course that is ideally structured to meet the training needs of the aspiring surgeon in the rapidly, evolving and complex area of lower extremity reconstruction. Participants will learn the surgical techniques in dealing with lower extremity trauma, with the emphasis on soft tissue injuries (including tendon, nerve and ligament injuries), post-ablative defects and local tissue transfer for functional reconstruction.
Practical skills training using fresh-frozen hand with lower limbs and loupes/microscopes.
This course is designed to teach aspiring orthopaedic & trauma and plastic surgeons, safe surgical techniques in dealing with reconstructive surgery of the lower extremity, with emphasis on soft tissue reconstruction and local tissue transfer for functional reconstruction.
